Marisa Messana, Clemson Women’s Golf Alum and Professional Golfer, stopped by recently to tell us all about her love for the Roundabout app.
1. Awesome auto shot detection
The auto shot detection feature means I can keep my head on the course during my round, then when I get back to the clubhouse I can sit down and reflect on what went well and what I need to improve on next time. I love that I don’t have to worry about my data being tracked and I can trust Roundabout to do its thing.
2. Course GPS data
I absolutely love the GPS and course mapping features of Roundabout. The night before I play a new course I like to sit down and mentally walk through my course strategy with the Roundabout app with the birds eye view. I also rely on Virtual Caddy to give me extra information, especially the Plays Like feature that adjusts automatically depending on weather. It’s just one less thing I have to worry about before hitting the green.
3. The Scorecards!
I cannot tell you how much I love the Round Summary. It not only tells me how I performed that round, it tells me how well I played against my averages. It is a huge weight off my shoulders that I don’t have to manually track this stuff to see how I’m improving. It’s also so easy to send these to my coaches, or friends and family if they want to know how my round went.
4. More effective and efficient practice
Since adding Roundabout to my life I have seen a huge shift in how my practice sessions are structured. I start each session knowing exactly what’s going well this month, and what I need to work on. I love that I can also catch skill slips really quickly, before I would notice it on the course and have it affect my score. Because Roundabout is comparing my data to me, it’s super personalized and efficient. I just love how well Roundabout knows me.
